This time it will be one of the most impressive historical monuments of Rome to host the artworks of the Terna prize. The venue will be the Temple of Adrian, in Piazza di Pietra, from December 22 to January 15 displaying the collective exhibit of the 57 artworks: the winners and the 45 famous artists that participated in the in prize’s second edition on the theme: “Energy : Mankind = Future : Environment. A proportion for new aesthetics.”. The exhibit is curated by Gianluca Marziani and Cristiana Collu. The TP 02 confirmed its mission: enhancing the talent of contemporary artists and drawing the population closer to art.
The Temple will be open to the public free of charge from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm every day.
Walking through the Temple’s ancient marble and the columns, one can admire the artworks of the young winners of the prize standing side by side to those of the important Italian contemporary artists. The Terna Prize’s second edition also involved conceptual designers and masters of film research within the artistic field, confirming the attentiveness of the curators to the international dynamics and processes that influence the most important museums. The artists’ interpretation of a complex and profound theme such as the future and the environment has proven very interesting. Compared to last year’s edition, the 3,500 participating artists felt this theme with greater empathy and expressed themselves with very strong ambitious projects.
The artworks of the winners of the four competing categories will be displayed, selected out of the 3,500 participating works.
